Just a short post! I’m at the airport, about to head to Sydney! My mother and I had a nice early morning (4 AM=nice!), so perhaps I will be able to sleep on the plane despite usually not being able to take naps. Our last day in Honolulu was refreshingly calm, with plenty of good food and lots of time at the beach and in the water. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and we also got some good walking in, grateful for our overheated bodies for letting us explore a fair amount by foot. The weather forecast had been stormy all day, and it finally caught up to us while we were waiting in line for dinner. We encountered torrential tropical rain and miraculously, we didn’t get completely soaked as we clung to the side of the udon shop we were about to enter.

Spirits are high (I think I’m a morning person?) as we get ready for a 10-hour flight. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, and I can’t wait.

P.S. I went fully into the men’s bathroom without noticing until on my way out. Maybe I’m more tired than I thought…
